Apartment renters insurance - necessity or extra expense

Don't have any doubts about it. Apartment renters insurance is a necessity if you rent your home, whether that rented home be a house, apartment or condo. It doesn't matter which if you're renting get the renters insurance. Protect your possessions from theft, vandalism and natural disaster (such as a fire, a tornado or flooding).

Look, apartment renter insurance is much less expensive than homeowners insurance. And you won't find homeowners without coverage. Yet a 2006 Insurance Research Council survey revealed that many apartment renters don't have renters insurance!

Like home owners, apartment renters have personal property worth protecting and with most apartment renter insurance policies only cost about $15. So there's no excuse not to have it!
